Custom Applications

We can install cguPASS which would allow you to restrict access
to certain areas of your site, on either a member subscription basis, or on authorization only.
Member subscription service would allow you to let your visitors signup for a username and password, and have it
expire a certain amount of time thereafter, or notify them a few days before to return to the site to renew their
membership. This system is great for pay sections of a website.
Our password manager, cguPASS, can also be setup so that you have complete administration control over users, and
they are not allowed to register themselves. This setup is good for restricting access to certain areas to only
several people.

Online databases can be used for things such as updated product
listings, image databases, or monthly newsletter archives. We setup an online administration script that allows
you to manage your database or archive via a standard web browser, and it can be customized to suit your particular
needs.

There are all types of business applications that can be written
to run on the web. We've implemented programs such as application form processers, tracking systems, financial
spreadsheets, and custom detailed order forms.

| Programming Languages |

Our programmers use PERL to write the majority of our custom applications
and cgi scripts. It is the most widely used programming language on the web because of its platform independancy,
strong text manipulation capabilities, and its sheer adaptablility.
All of our cguWEB series programs are written in PERL, though we do sometimes use client-side Javascript for certain
tasks that would run better and faster than PERL.
Our policy with technology is to use the most common and popular software and languages available to us as designers,
so we can maximize the number of site vistors who are successful and pleased with the performance and results of
using an application on one of our clients' websites.
